"Secret Ingredient" VDF Languedoc-Roussillon, France - (Carbonic Maceration)
La Pourboire is a juicy, fun wine for those days when you need a red that is easy drinking, fresh but with substance, direct fruit without too many complications. Alexandre Coulange, the winemaker, blends in a secret ingredient - a tiny amount of Malbec grapes that were left to dry on straw under the scorching sun (A method known in Italy as "Appassimento"). These dried grapes shrink and become concentrated and rich. It gives the wine a generous feeling on the palate with a sweet sensation on the finish; all without losing the freshness and lightness.
A flexible and stable wine that stays very good days after opening. Can be served just under room temperature or chilled. We recommend opening 10 minutes before drinking.
